The Marketing and Exports Promotion Division was established by the Solomon Islands Government in 2008 and incorporated as a Division of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Immigration and Labour. The Division is responsible for encouraging and promoting exports and is responsible for providing information to and coordinating support for Solomon Islanders involved in income generating activities and exporting activities.

Vision

To be in a position to effectively render market information, advice, coordination and support to any firms or individuals.

Mission

The division will engage in a detailed market research to know available markets for Solomon Islands products, their standards and promote new innovations. We will promote local products through international and local trade shows and other appropriate news media. We will identify and establish rural market infrastructures and coordinate marketing participants to improve their marketing performance. We are committed to adopt innovative technology to carry out our functions and to ensure that the officers have the capacity to effectively provide services to the public.
