SOLOMON ISLANDER DISCOVERS USEFUL MICROBE IN JAPAN
A USEFUL microbe (bacteria) that can eliminate iron oxides in water has been discovered in Japan by a Solomon Islander. Mr Samson Viulu a microbiology student at the Gifu University was carrying out his research work for his Phd candidature when he discovered the Geobacter luticola sp.nov bacteria. PEC to look into MPA
THE Parliamentary Entitlement Commission (PEC) will start looking into the submissions of Members of Provincial Assemblies (MPA) next week.
This came after the Commission has completed its deliberation on the salaries and allowances of Members of Parliament last month.The Commission made a four percent increase on salaries and $8,000 increase on constituencies touring allowances across the board for the MPs. ....read more
