Welcome to our webpage. Please take your time to go through our information on safety on our page. We would very much appreciate and welcome any comments and suggestions.

InvestSolomons (Foreign Investment Division) is a key Solomon Islands Government’s (SIG) Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) that strives toward archiving economic growth and development through promotion, facilitation and monitoring of foreign investment in the country.

Solomon Islands provides investment opportunities in the major sectors such as Manufacturing, Tourism, Agriculture, Fisheries and Other Services. The SIG offers special investment incentives to its key priority sectors.

The upgrading of the Solomon Business Registry in late 2016 was a boost to ease the process of registering your Certificate of Registration, which means a foreign investor applicant can be granted an approval within or less than five working days. Please, visit our registry website:

We are conscious of the challenges on inadequate supporting services on infrastructure, relatively high cost of doing business due to high fuel cost and connecting geographically small Islands/Provinces in remote locations. However, we are working with our stakeholders on alternatives to attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) through offering tax incentives particularly to key sectors that provide employment growth and value added kinds of investments and businesses.

Much has been achieved in the past years. However, we cannot rule out that a lot still needs to be done and we are anticipating potential challenges in the future. However, we are very confident that InvestSolomons will continue on its charted path to improve the marketing of our potential investment opportunities abroad and make Solomon Islands a better investment destination that provides conducive business environment for the investors and business households.

Mr. Derick Aihari,
Registrar of Foreign Investment
