Activities include snorkeling trips to Picnic Island; Highland village walking
tours; Bird and Wildlife watching; Island exploring by Canoe or Boat charter;
Traditional basket weaving; Coconut harvesting; Swimming, Snorkeling and fishing
in the resorts exclusive bay; finding Nemos! Very few tourists have swum in
these pristine waters, strolled on these palm lined beaches or trekked through
these noisy jungles.
How
to get there
Yet to be discovered by “Lonely Planet”, Kaolo Sunset Resort is located on San
Jorge Island. Solomon Airways flies weekly to Jajao Airstrip, and then it is
a scenic 2 hour boat ride to the resort. IDC shipping has a passenger and cargo
ship that comes to Kaevanga Port on the mainland island of Isabel twice a week,
5 min boat transfer to Kaolo Sunset Resort.
